JOB DUTIES As a language pedagogue, you work at the interface between language, education and working life with the goal of providing participants with the right language support to achieve internships, employment or further studies. You will have a central role in building up this new function together with Adult Education, the Employment Unit and Economic Assistance. The focus is on language assessment, professional Swedish and creating a secure bridge between education and working life. In this assignment, you assess participants' functional language skills and follow their progress in speaking, listening, reading and writing. You plan and implement profession-focused pedagogical interventions individually, in groups and directly at workplaces – for example regarding safety instructions, digital communication and interview preparation. When needed, you support participants in the actual work environment and contribute to assessing their next steps. The role also includes developing language-supporting work methods in the organization and guiding colleagues. Since this is a new function, you are expected to actively contribute to shaping its structure, methods and sustainable work practices. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have teaching credentials with at least 45 hp in Swedish as a Second Language and experience teaching adults. You have good knowledge of second language development and the ability to adapt pedagogy to different educational backgrounds and language levels. You can analyze language needs, translate them into practical interventions and follow up on results. The role requires very good digital competence, very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, and an independent, structured and results-oriented work approach. It is meritorious if you have experience from adult education, employment issues or economic assistance, as well as experience in collaboration with employers and internship placements. As a person, you are development-oriented, confident in your professional role and work well in cross-professional collaboration. You see language as something that develops in real situations and can navigate your assignment without taking over other professions' responsibilities. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. With us, you get to build up an important function where your expertise makes a big difference for residents' path toward self-sufficiency.
