Position and Workplace Description We are now seeking a special education teacher who is passionate about student development and wants to contribute to promoting and preventive student support work together with educators and school leadership at Rönndalsskolan, Linghedsskolan, and the Svärdsjö school area. Rönndalsskolan is an F-6 school with approximately 150 students and Danholnsskolan F-6 serves approximately 60 students. Both schools are located in wonderful surroundings where our excellent students have good conditions to succeed in school thanks to a dedicated staff of approximately 30 employees. We need to complement our team with expertise in special education to better meet the students' needs and develop instruction and learning environments. We welcome an educated special education teacher who is experienced in working both promotively and preventively at the organizational and group level as well as at an interventional individual level. You are an important part of our student support team where meetings occur with other staff working to make our education even more accessible and inclusive. You will work in close collaboration with school leadership. Together we value that every student in our operations develops to their full potential both academically and socially. You will also be an important piece of the puzzle in our work teams and in the school's development efforts. The Svärdsjö school area offers workplaces where we together develop and create modern schools. Here you also work in a team, together with other special education teachers and student support staff. The role also involves working as a qualified discussion partner and advisor on pedagogical matters for colleagues, guardians, and other important parties. Job Duties The work involves identifying, analyzing, and participating in developing and promoting the learning environment in the organization at both group and individual levels. In your role you will provide guidance and support to work teams and individual educators. You will work on school-wide assignments where special education expertise is needed and be a driving force in student support work. As a special education teacher you will also be school leadership's "extended arm" in the work teams regarding student support matters. When needed you will establish pedagogical assessments and intervention programs in collaboration with educators, students, and guardians. Qualifications The role requires: Special education teacher certification or other education that the employer deems equivalent Personal Qualities We see that you as a person can capture and stimulate students' curiosity, interest, and learning. You work for community, security, and knowledge. You are also a positive team player who contributes and fits naturally into the school's team. Furthermore, you have knowledge and ability to independently work as a special education teacher for students in need of particular support in school. Meritorious Qualifications Experience with both promoting and preventive work at the organizational level and interventional work at the individual level Experience working in primary school grades F-6 Terms of Employment The position is a permanent full-time appointment.
