The position is within the central Student Health Unit of the pre-school and primary school administration, which includes approximately 30 employees from various professions such as school counselors, psychologists, school physicians, school nurses, and special education teachers. The activities are conducted partly at the Student Health Unit in central Mora in the same building as the Mora Family Center and partly in the activities at our pre-schools and primary schools, and to some extent also at the upper secondary school as they purchase certain services from us. The special education teacher group consists of six employees. This position involves work within primary school grades F-9 and comprises a 100% permanent employment. We offer you mentoring support from an experienced colleague and regular collegial support within your profession. You work daytime, weekdays, and have the opportunity to influence your working hours within certain limits; some administrative tasks can be done remotely by agreement with your supervisor. You also receive a wellness allowance of 1,200 kr/year. Responsibilities Student Health should primarily work preventively and health-promotingly and support students' development toward educational goals. Work as a special education teacher includes, among other things, assisting the principal and school staff in mapping obstacles and opportunities to create accessible learning environments. The work takes place in collaboration with students, guardians, and school staff; you shall, among other things, mentor and train school personnel. The work also involves assisting management in organizational decisions and in planning to develop accessible learning environments. You work primarily in multidisciplinary teams and have close collaboration with other professions within the Student Health Unit, with the principal, and various professions employed at the school, as well as with external actors. The work involves a considerable amount of independent work where you manage your own agenda and take responsibility for completing your work tasks. Qualifications You must have a pedagogical education, professional experience, and further education as a special education teacher. It is advantageous if you have experience working with students in need of special support. It is also advantageous to have experience in driving development work and being able to contribute to the administration's work in creating accessible learning environments at our schools. You have the ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, staff, and colleagues. You have a customer and citizen-oriented attitude with students and guardians in focus. You should be able to contribute to the overall student health work with your professional expertise and have the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams. You are communicative, flexible, have a positive attitude, are solution-focused, and development-oriented. You can also structure your own work and work independently. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
