Job Responsibilities We are now looking for a special education teacher interested in a new assignment with us at Apelgårdsskolan, working with grades 4-9. As all staff members at our school, you work to create an engaging and stimulating learning environment so that our students can achieve the best possible development, both academically and socially. In your role, you work at the organizational, group, and individual levels with assessment, guidance, and observation of individual children, students, or groups. You work preventively to remove obstacles in various learning environments and to develop support measures and accommodations for our students in need of special support. Your responsibilities also include conducting training and guiding our staff while supporting school leadership in working with children and students in need of special support. You are part of our student health team and thereby contribute to increased operational and methodological development at Apelgårdsskolan. Qualifications You have a degree in special education. If you have previous experience working as a special education teacher, that is a merit. You have a good understanding and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can apply them in your daily work. You have strong didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize work with the student(s) to create a good learning environment throughout the day. Based on evidence-based research, we see that you can develop your work, and we want you to have good experience and familiarity with working with digital tools. We look forward to your application!
