Drottning Blankas Gymnasieskola in Nacka was launched in 2020 and offers vocational and higher education preparatory programs in the following fields: Business, Society, Technology, Electrical Energy, Healthcare, Hairdressing, Styling, and Sales and Service. The school has approximately 800 students and 60 employees. Special Education Teacher and Assistant Principal at Drottning Blankas Gymnasieskola in Nacka Your Assignment We are looking for you who wants to lead a unique school together with a driven leadership team and stable staff. At Drottning Blankas Gymnasieskola in Nacka, student welfare permeates the entire school's work, and we deliver according to DBGY's motto "It is important to us that things go well for you". We are looking for someone who, like us, believes that school development is something you do together. Your assignment at Drottning Blanka in Nacka would be to lead our student welfare team and be responsible for special education work. The school's student welfare team consists of a counselor, school nurse, special education teacher, social pedagogue, librarian, and student career advisor, for whom you will have personnel responsibility in your role as assistant principal. You will work closely and without hierarchy together with the leadership team, which consists of the principal and two assistant principals with program responsibility. In your role, you will lead the student welfare team and develop our student welfare work. Your assignment includes both investigative and developmental work with an emphasis on preventive and health-promoting measures. You will contribute to ensuring that our students who need special support receive individually adapted and inclusive treatment as well as measures that lead to increased goal attainment for all our students. In the investigative work, you will, within your area of expertise, among other things: conduct pedagogical assessments provide support in implementing measures based on completed assessments be responsible for follow-up and evaluation work based on completed assessments In the developmental work, you will, within your area of expertise, among other things: carry out training initiatives based on the school's identified needs provide guidance to the school's educators and work teams have good knowledge of digital tools that you can pass on to our educators provide support to the principal in analysis work at the individual, group, and organizational level contribute to creating good learning environments for all students, with a focus on group and organizational level The work also involves you as a special education teacher carrying out targeted, individual measures for students who need them. As an assistant principal, you are part of the school's leadership team and have, as part of this, an explicit mandate to drive the work of student welfare at the school. Who Are We Looking For?
