JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We now have the opportunity to expand our team by re-establishing a Special Education Pedagogist position for preschools in Säters Municipality. The position is organized within Central Student Services, which is a municipality-wide unit with various professional competencies to meet children's and students' needs for optimal development, learning, and health. At Central Student Services, we work as a team and consist of different professionals who collaborate: Special Education Pedagogists, school counselors, school nurses, school psychologist, a developmental pedagogist for speech, language, and hearing, and an SLS developer with a preschool assignment. Your responsibilities as a Special Education Pedagogist with preschool assignments are to collaborate with principals, other Special Education Pedagogists, and preschool staff to work preventively and health-promotingly to contribute to a good, inclusive learning environment for our children. With the expansion of our team, you will work with one preschool area instead of a general assignment. There are two preschool areas in Säter, and you will work together with another Special Education Pedagogist at 100% toward preschools in the central Säter/Gustafs area. The work includes providing guidance to preschool staff, developing action plans according to the procedures for support measures, conducting observations and other preventive measures together with the principal. The Special Education Pedagogists plan and conduct skill development across the municipality in collaboration with principals and the head of Student Services. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence and drive preschool development in the municipality. The Special Education Pedagogist shall be a qualified discussion partner/advisor to principals, preschool staff, resources, and parents on special education matters. The Special Education Pedagogist provides guidance to staff both individually and in groups. The work also includes collaboration with external partners such as rehabilitation services and social services. There is close and continuous collaboration within the entire Special Education Pedagogist group, which enables, for example, peer supervision and drawing on each other's expertise in the special education field. This means you will receive substantial support in your own profession. You will form a preschool team with the two other Special Education Pedagogists who work with preschools (one full-time and one part-time). You will handle incoming contact forms that come to a function mailbox in our child and student health journal system Prorenata. QUALIFICATIONS Educated Special Education Pedagogist You must have completed education as a Special Education Pedagogist Work in Prorenata It is a merit if you have previously worked in Prorenata. Knowledge of the Preschool Curriculum It is a merit if you have good knowledge of the school curriculum. Knowledge of Methods and Approaches in Preschools It is a merit if you have knowledge of support measures according to school legislation and can support the principal in that work at school. Can contribute with your own expertise in the area of special support in preschools It is a merit if you can create your own presentations and develop workshops to share your expertise in special support in preschools. You have the ability to make quick and clear decisions, both independently and with others. You also have good initiative. You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally. You collaborate well with people in different contexts and roles. You have the ability to write clearly and in a well-structured manner, and you can adapt your texts to the intended audience. You have the ability to plan and organize your work.
