JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Falkenberg Municipality's preschool operations are divided into five areas, each with a specialist function in special education. Currently, we have 4 special education specialists and 5 pedagogical leaders. Your assignment is to be a qualified discussion partner and advisor on matters concerning staff and other stakeholders. You are part of the area's management team and work on behalf of the principal to provide support and guidance to work teams in, for example, method development, adaptations, and learning environments.
In your role with us, you will work to find working methods and adaptations that promote children's development. You have a comprehensive overview of resource needs and establish contacts with resource persons outside your own operation. You participate in work with action plans and are responsible for ensuring that child matters are documented in accordance with applicable legislation. You also keep yourself updated with new research and new literature in the field.
You are a driver in the development of flexible and accessible learning environments and conduct assessment, mapping, and follow-up at the organizational, group, and individual levels.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is trained as a special education specialist and has several years of experience working in preschool settings. Experience with mentoring and support for educators as well as collaboration with parents/guardians is meritorious.
You have a strong relational approach and view collegial learning as an important foundation for development and quality in preschool. You are initiative-taking, work independently, and at the same time have a good ability to collaborate and build trusting relationships. With a solution-focused and development-oriented working approach, you actively contribute to developing the preschool's learning environments and working methods based on the children's and preschool's needs.
You have good digital competence and are experienced in using digital tools and systems for documentation, follow-up, and feedback. Furthermore, you have well-developed communication skills and express yourself clearly and professionally in both speech and writing.
