Astrid Lindgren School is an F-9 school divided into two units: F-6 and 7-9, with approximately 500 students combined. Astrid Lindgren School is centrally located in Vimmerby. Rumskulla School is a school with 30 students. Rumskulla School is located in Rumskulla, approximately 25 kilometers west of Vimmerby. DUTIES As a special education teacher, your focus is on guiding and supporting teachers, work teams, and school leadership. You analyze and develop the school's learning environments to prevent problems and promote inclusion, assessment, and development. Through instruction of students individually and in groups, you help students achieve the highest possible goal achievement based on their capacity. As a special education teacher, you assist teachers in conducting screening and analyzing the results. You work to contribute to improved teaching quality through staff guidance. You identify risks that may lead to learning and knowledge development difficulties for students, and you design preventive and promoting measures. You also assist teachers in pedagogical assessment work. Together with your colleagues, you analyze student knowledge development and provide teachers with suggestions for measures and changes. Your task is to create the best opportunities for students, guardians, and colleagues to feel well, secure, and to provide good education according to students' needs. QUALIFICATIONS To succeed in the role of special education teacher, we are seeking you who has a strong pedagogical foundation and the ability to meet each student's unique needs. Required qualifications: • Education: You are a certified teacher and have a special education degree. Alternatively, you have another advanced education or degree that the employer deems equivalent. • Driving License: Category B Meritorious: • Experience with similar work as a special education teacher within schools. • Experience leading pedagogical assessments and conducting guidance for educational staff.
