As a special education educator, you will have a central role in our work for accessible education where every student is given the opportunity to succeed. Here you combine student-focused support with guidance, development work, and strategic special education initiatives. Description The adult education department operates Swedish for immigrants (SFI), Komvux as adapted education, theoretical courses and subjects at basic and upper secondary level, as well as vocational, apprenticeship and combination programs. Within the department we also have a university of applied sciences. We work to develop our students' knowledge and competence in order to strengthen their position in working and social life and to promote their personal development. Now we are looking for a special education educator who wants to help create the best conditions for adult students' learning and achievement of goals. Job Responsibilities As a special education educator with us, you have an important role in developing accessible learning environments and strengthening students' ability to reach their goals. You will, among other things: Conduct special education assessments and pedagogical evaluations. Support students and teachers on matters concerning learning, study techniques, and adaptations. Guide and support work teams on special education matters. Contribute to the development of accessible learning environments and inclusive methods. Participate in work with special support, extra adaptations, and follow-up of initiatives. Collaborate with school management, teachers, study and career counselors, and external partners as needed. Contribute to the organization's systematic quality work. The position involves close collaboration with school management and staff to develop the organization from a special education perspective. You will be part of a work team. Qualifications We are looking for you who: Have a special education degree. Have good knowledge of extra adaptations, special support, and accessible learning environments. Have a relational and solution-focused approach to work. Enjoy working both operationally and strategically. Have good ability to guide, collaborate, and create trusting relationships. It is meritorious if you have experience with adult education and work with students with varying educational backgrounds, linguistic circumstances, and life situations. Your worldview is characterized by seeing possibilities and strengths in people. You are confident, responsive, and professional in interactions with both students and colleagues. You have good collaboration skills, work in a structured manner, and actively contribute to the organization's development. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
