JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Are you a dedicated special education teacher who wants to work closely with both students and colleagues to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment? Do you want to be a driving force in a student welfare team where collaboration, development, and student focus are always at the center? As a special education teacher, you work to create an inclusive learning environment where all students, regardless of individual circumstances, have the opportunity to combine their studies with their athletic ambitions. You are part of the school's student welfare team but collaborate closely with several program teams. Your job responsibilities include: • Participate in development groups and drive the school's development in collaboration with lead teachers • Promote the application of inclusive pedagogy and strategies throughout the school, and coach both teachers and student assistants in this • Work actively to make teaching materials and assistive digital learning tools accessible • Follow current research in special education and apply the insights in your work • Work with systematic student welfare efforts, coordinate student welfare matters, compile referral documentation, and collaborate with student welfare actors. This includes collaboration with external actors, such as child and adolescent mental health services, speech pathologists, special education resource centers, and rehabilitation services • Oversee systematic compilation of student attendance and risk and protective factors • Conduct pedagogical assessments, investigations, and establish intervention plans following decisions from the principal • Coordinate handovers and receive information about new students and ensure that relevant information is passed on to those involved Our Offering Here you as a special education teacher will have a central role in a committed student welfare team where we together create an inclusive and developing learning environment for all students. QUALIFICATIONS As a special education teacher, it is important that you are structured and clear in your work approach, and can keep several parallel assignments in focus without losing quality. You have a coaching work style and also have a good ability to build trusting relationships with students, teachers, student assistants, and external actors. You enjoy collaborating with others and see the strength in good teamwork, while at the same time being passionate about every student succeeding, regardless of level or individual challenges. You follow current research in special education and use your insights to develop teaching and support measures in your work. We place great importance on personal suitability.
