We are now seeking a special education teacher for Ludvigsborgsskolan. Your Responsibilities As a special education teacher, you will work both operatively and consultatively, providing guidance to both staff and management. You should be able to analyze learning environments and stimulate the development of work methods within an inclusive approach. Your assignment includes both investigative and developmental work with emphasis on preventive and health-promoting measures. Through your role, you contribute to ensuring that our students in need of special support receive individualized and inclusive treatment and measures that lead to increased goal achievement. You also implement targeted, individual interventions for students who need them. In the investigative work, you will, within your area of expertise, conduct in-depth pedagogical assessments, support the implementation of measures based on the investigation conducted, and support the follow-up and evaluation work based on the investigation. You maintain contact with guardians for close collaboration between school and home, and actively work with students with problematic school absenteeism. You are part of the school's student welfare team together with a counselor, school nurse, school psychologist, social pedagogue, special education teacher, career advisor, principal, and assistant principal, as well as the school's management group. Your Qualifications We are seeking someone with education as a special education teacher. Previous work experience as a special education teacher at the upper secondary level is a merit. Experience with educational work with children with special needs is also considered a merit. As a person, you are development-oriented, positive, and have good communication skills and the ability to see the bigger picture. We value your commitment, your pedagogical expertise, and your mentoring ability. We want you to be a stable and trustworthy person who can build confidence with students. You treat children and parents respectfully and collaborate with other adults in the school for meaningful and stimulating activities. You are creative and develop good learning environments for students. You inspire and engage students while maintaining high standards and believing they can meet your expectations.
