Using evidence-based methods, educational interventions are designed based on the consequences of deafblindness, with special focus on communication and access to information. Patient work is performed both at the clinic and in the patient's home and local environment. To thrive with us, you need to appreciate a mobile work approach, as services are often provided in the part of Västra Götalandsregionen where the patient lives. The work also includes coordinating services, collaboration with municipal activities such as childcare and schools, and guidance regarding deafblindness. The special education teacher has a natural role in many of our group rehabilitation services. It is important that you enjoy working both individually and as part of a team, and often in collaboration with family members, staff, and/or other activities in society.
