Job Description In your role as special education teacher/special educator at Myrängsskolan, you will: • be a key person in our student well-being promotion and prevention efforts • collaborate with and mentor teachers in grades F-5 to plan and develop adapted learning environments, accommodations, and specialized support • hold overall responsibility for special education initiatives at the school and coordinate and lead the school's student well-being team meetings • teach and support students who need your specialized expertise, both individually and in small groups • conduct assessments at the individual and group levels and lead pedagogical investigations • analyze results related to student well-being work to develop effective pedagogical interventions Qualifications We are looking for someone who: • holds certification as a special education teacher or special educator, preferably with several years of experience in grades F-6 • has a salutogenic approach, is solution-focused, and is passionate about creating conditions for all students to succeed • finds it easy to plan, organize, and build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians • can work independently, take initiative, and make well-informed decisions based on student needs and organizational goals. At the same time, you value close collaboration with colleagues and other professionals in student well-being, and you are happy to share your knowledge, listen to different perspectives, and actively contribute to the team's collective work • are flexible and advance the school's student well-being efforts and collaboration with school staff, the student well-being team, and leadership to create a better learning environment for all students • have experience with assessments, accommodations, and pedagogical investigations • are familiar with school regulations and are enthusiastic about participating in the student well-being team's interprofessional approach It is advantageous if you: • have experience with PBS and/or IBIS • are familiar with the Prorenata documentation system • have experience working with RTI As a person, you are flexible, structured, well-organized, and enthusiastic in your teaching. You are collaboration-oriented and interested in contributing to the professional development of the organization. You have the ability to plan and organize both your own work and students' work efficiently and create a trusting work environment where all students have a voice. About the Workplace Myrängsskolan is an F-6 school with approximately 230 students. During the school year, the school will have classes from grade F through grade 5. The school is located in the nature-rich area of Gribbylund, where certified and dedicated educators work with the students' best interests in focus. The school is organized into sections with school and associated afterschool care, which creates the feeling of a small school within a larger one.
