JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as a special education teacher/special educator, you will work with students, teachers, and the organization. This involves collaboration with other special educators, colleagues in both the after-school program and primary school, as well as the student support team. As a special education teacher/special educator, you are responsible for helping to coordinate and support ongoing work for students who need special support and extra adjustments. You mentor staff and provide ongoing guidance regarding individual students and groups, as well as develop the activities. You analyze and develop instruction according to our systematic quality improvement plan and assist with assessments when needed. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has a special education teacher degree or special education specialist degree. You should have the ability to inspire and lead students and see yourself as important for students to develop according to their abilities. You have good knowledge of the school's governing documents and work according to a well-established set of values, and clearly show students what goals they should work toward. Creating good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues is important to you. You have a positive attitude toward your work and develop activities with new methods and approaches together with your team. You take active initiative in social settings, step forward, and find it easy to create new relationships. You work according to a clear process, complete what you start, and meet deadlines. You are confident in uncertain situations, stand up for your own opinions, have the courage to speak up, and can distinguish between the issue and the person. Employment form: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent, start date: August 11, 2026 or by agreement. The position is a full-time permanent position (100%) if you can provide credentials. If you do not have the required authorization, the employment will be fixed-term according to the School Act. To work within the school and childcare unit's activities, you are required to submit an extract from the Criminal Register § 22. You request the extract yourself from the National Police Board in Kiruna. It is valid for one year and must be renewed thereafter. We apply individual and differentiated salary setting.
