JOB DUTIES In your role as a Special Education Teacher/Special Pedagogist, you work with students, teachers, and the organization. This involves collaboration with other special education teachers, colleagues in both the after-school program and primary school, and the student support team. As a Special Education Teacher/Special Pedagogist, you are responsible for helping to coordinate and support ongoing work for students who need special support and additional accommodations. You mentor staff and provide ongoing guidance regarding individual students and groups, and you develop the activity. You analyze and develop instruction according to our systematic quality assurance plan and assist with evaluations when needed. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has a special education teacher certificate or special pedagogy degree. You should have the ability to inspire and lead students and see yourself as important for students to develop according to their capabilities. You have good knowledge of school regulations and work according to a well-established value base, and you clearly show students what goals they should work toward. Creating good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues is important to you. You have a positive view of the work and develop activities with new methods and approaches together with your work team. You actively take initiative in social settings, step forward, and have an easy time creating new relationships. You work according to a clear process, complete what you start, and meet deadlines. You are confident in uncertain situations, stand up for your own opinions, have the courage to speak up, and have the ability to distinguish between the issue and the person. Employment Form: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent, start date: August 11, 2026, or by agreement. The position is a full-time permanent employment (100%) if you can provide credentials. If you do not have credentials, the employment will be limited-term according to school law. To work within the school and childcare unit's activities, you must submit an extract from the Police Register § 22. You request the extract yourself from the National Police Board in Kiruna. It is valid for one year and must be renewed thereafter. We apply individual and differentiated salary setting.
