Josefinaskolan is beautifully located between Märsta and Sigtuna. The school is operated as a foundation and is non-profit, with approximately 200 students in grades F-9 and approximately 30 dedicated staff members who together contribute to an educational and safe school.
We base our work on Lgr 22 in combination with Waldorf pedagogy's complementary planning tool "A Path to Freedom".
Special Education Teacher/Educator
For autumn 2026, we are seeking a special education teacher at 40-60% who has a strong commitment to working with children and young people in need of support in various teaching contexts.
As a special education teacher/educator at Josefinaskolan grades F-9, you will work with various assignments within support, assessments, and coaching. You are part of the school's student welfare team, which in collaboration with other pedagogical staff works with both preventative and corrective measures.
You need to be able to meet students with various difficulties at different ages and feel comfortable collaborating with both teachers and parents. We would like you to have experience coaching teachers in assessments, adaptations, and documentation work.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has worked as a special education teacher or special educator and has previous teaching experience. It is a plus if you have previous experience teaching in upper secondary grades.
We are looking for someone who is pedagogically skilled with a good understanding of how individuals learn and their different conditions. You understand the shared mission and work to make it as good as possible. You take responsibility for your tasks, drive the work forward, and enjoy close collaboration around students and classes. You have a reflective and curious approach.
Employment Terms
Salary according to collective agreement. We are slightly below the average salary in Sigtuna municipality, but offer added value such as:
