About Us Granbackaskolan is an elementary school with age-homogeneous classes from preschool through grade 3. We strive daily to provide our 280 students with important tools in the form of self-confidence, social competence, and critical thinking. We see safety as a fundamental prerequisite for school success. The school has close collaboration between teachers, after-school programs, student support teams, and school leadership. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in students in need of special support and who thrives in an environment where relationships, structure, and high expectations go hand in hand. About the Position We are now seeking a special education teacher or a licensed teacher with special education competence who wants to help develop and be responsible for teaching in our special instruction group. You will work in close collaboration with the group's two educators, and together you will form a well-functioning team with shared responsibility for the students' academic, social, and emotional development. You will also work closely with students' mentors, school leadership, and the student support team. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction as well as for documentation, evaluation, and analysis of student learning and development. The special instruction group has been active for just over a year and is characterized by stability and clear structures. Two experienced educators with extensive knowledge of students in need of special support work in the group. The activities are conducted in appropriate facilities designed to provide students with safety, structure, and good conditions for learning and development. The work team is also offered regular supervision to support pedagogical work. We believe in collaboration as a success factor, both for student development and for a sustainable work life. Therefore, we work with collaborative learning, differentiated instruction, and a formative approach. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for you who: - are a special education teacher or licensed teacher with special education competence - have experience working with students in need of special support, preferably with NPF - have experience with or interest in working with students in grades F-3 - have good knowledge of curriculum, policy documents, accommodations, and special support - express yourself very well in Swedish both orally and in writing - use digital tools as a natural part of instruction, documentation, and follow-up. Experience with pedagogical documentation, pedagogical assessments, and support plans, preferably in Prorenata, is a merit. As a person, you are confident, clear, and relationship-building. You have a calm and professional approach, you see strengths and possibilities in every student. You create teaching situations where students experience success and develop based on their individual circumstances. You enjoy working in a team and actively contribute to a positive collaborative climate. You have good organizational skills, work in a structured manner, and ensure that planning, documentation, and follow-up maintain high quality. Your teaching is based on scientific foundation and proven experience, and you have the ability to create accessible learning environments where students develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
