JOB DUTIES As a licensed special education teacher, you are part of the student support team where we assist students, teachers, and each other in daily work. You plan, participate in, and further develop activities together with students and colleagues. Teaching takes place individually, in small groups, and in the classroom. You are responsible for, together with the mentors, establishing assessments regarding special support and intervention plans in close collaboration with colleagues and parents/guardians. You meet and communicate with parents/guardians as needed. You become part of a committed teaching staff that wants to develop together, and where collaboration with teachers is close. We believe in fulfilling the curriculum by offering students varied working methods to develop the skills necessary in tomorrow's society. As a special education teacher, you are extra support for students who need it most, and close and good contact with both teachers and parents/guardians is a prerequisite. At the school, in addition to you, there is another special education teacher and a special educator. We use, among other things, Lexplore's eye-tracking scanner for all students from grade 1 to monitor reading fluency and reading proficiency. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a licensed special education teacher and wants to work with students in pre-K, lower, and middle grades. As a person, you are creative, innovative, and take your own initiative. You are also service-oriented, work well with others, and can relate to them in a responsive way. It is also important that you are self-directed, can set and maintain timelines in a structured and efficient manner. You should be able to lead, motivate, and create engagement to overcome difficulties and increase students' desire and interest in learning. Furthermore, you should also be able to lead colleagues in collegial development and drive development projects at the school. Employment type: Permanent position.
