We are within walking distance to the sea, the city center, and fantastic nature. Lindö School has approximately 320 students from preschool to grade 6. Grades F-3 are located in the facilities on Lindövägen, while grades 4-6 and the municipality-wide special education group are located on Gröndalsvägen. If a student needs more support than what their home school can offer, there are municipality-wide special education groups (KSU) with specialized expertise. The special education groups are placed at primary schools in the municipality, and this autumn another group for preschool to grade 3 and after-school care is starting, located at Lindö School. The special education group at Lindö School has the entire municipality as its catchment area. The group, which has space for 5-6 students, has adapted and separate facilities at Gröndalsvägen 17. WORK DUTIES The team in the special education group consists of a Special Education Teacher, Teacher, Preschool Teacher, and After-School Care Instructor, where you are all important in shaping and developing teaching both at school and at after-school care based on the small student group's needs. As a special education teacher in a municipality-wide special education group, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching together with your colleagues in the team. As a special education teacher, you have particular responsibility for assessment, planning, follow-up, and documentation based on students' need for special support. The assignment includes close contact with guardians and other collaboration partners to meet each student's individual needs. In your work, you have access to the school team and student welfare services. As support in your assignment, continuous mentoring from central student welfare is included. At startup, all staff receive basic training and thereafter continuous professional development tailored to the groups' needs is provided. There is continuous collaboration between the municipality-wide special education groups to constantly develop the work. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a qualified special education teacher or special education expert and has broad subject qualification for preschool to grade 3. We would like you to have good knowledge of and experience working with NPF pedagogy. As a person, you are calm, stable, and composed in stressful situations. You take responsibility for tasks and can organize and prioritize them. You easily adapt to changed circumstances. You can and want to work with other people and see teamwork as a matter of course. As a colleague, you bring enthusiasm, energy, and passion to your work. You have the ability to see the operation and the student from a holistic perspective. Before employment, an extract from the police's criminal record must be presented. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Entry date 2026-08-10. Entry by agreement. Working hours: Daytime. Kalmar Municipality checks identity and work permit before anyone is employed.
