We utilize nature both during class time and during after-school activities. Hovås School's primary goal is for students to be active participants in their own learning, and for students and staff together to create the best conditions for students to develop strong factual knowledge and skills. All students should receive the support, security, and stimulation they need throughout the school day. Students should develop their social abilities together with staff and each other. Hovås School wants to create an environment where all students are included so that they leave school with great confidence in themselves. Responsibilities In your role as a special education teacher, you guide staff and serve as a qualified conversation partner, advisor, and support. You conduct pedagogical assessments such as reading, writing, and mathematics evaluations, and you analyze students' support needs. The work involves active participation in the school's student welfare efforts together with other specialists on the student welfare team, and you support the principal with documentation for decisions about measures for students needing special support. It is also important that you collaborate with other school forms and external specialists. Together with the school's leadership team, you drive the development of pedagogical work, with particular focus on meeting the needs of all students. You also participate in developing the learning environments of the operations. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is trained as a special education teacher and has very strong knowledge of health-promoting, preventative, and interventional student welfare work. If you have previously worked as a special education teacher, that is a merit. It is also a merit if you have worked as a mentor and have education within this area. You are engaged in your work, take your tasks seriously, and ensure that what you start is also completed with good quality. You work in a structured and careful manner to ensure that work tasks are performed correctly. You are driven by contributing to others' learning and have a good ability to create conditions for development and knowledge creation. By adapting your way of communicating, you can explain information and problems clearly to different audiences and from multiple perspectives. You collaborate well with others and actively contribute to reaching shared goals. By showing interest in and understanding for your colleagues and students, you promote a respectful and inclusive work climate where everyone feels valued and included. Furthermore, you take responsibility for driving the work forward and contribute with enthusiasm, whether you work independently or together with others. We welcome your application!
