Job Duties Your main task is to work together with colleagues in the work team to challenge students in their learning and support them in their knowledge development toward established goals. In addition to planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction, you will, together with colleagues in the work team, work on developing instruction based on prioritized development areas and the unit's improvement efforts. You will work closely with teachers, educational support personnel, and the principal, and be responsible for driving the unit's joint analysis work forward in various contexts. At Stenhammarskolan, we focus on early intervention, where special education teachers, together with classroom teachers, have significant responsibility for planning and designing instruction so that it benefits all students from the start. For a couple of years now, we have been implementing the RTI model (Response to Intervention) to systematically analyze how instruction meets students' needs and what measures need to be taken. In this work, special education teachers' expertise is of great importance for continued development. Who Are You? You are a certified special education teacher, preferably with a focus on mathematics. Your ability to create good, trusting relationships with both students and staff and guardians is a prerequisite. You have the ability to lead both student groups and colleagues to develop instruction and the unit. You have the ability to motivate and create situations that contribute to meaningful learning. You design activities and situations that promote and develop students' motivation, persistence, and attention. You have the ability to see and meet each student, build on what works, and offer broad guidance and stimulation in instruction. You see opportunities to work across subjects in collaboration with others. Collegial learning is a natural part of your work. You reflect on and analyze your instruction as a natural part of your practice. You have great commitment to the school's overall development work and are driven to support teachers in improvement efforts. You are communicative, creative, and open to thinking new thoughts and trying new ways of working together with others. We place great importance on personal suitability.
