Our organisation in Nyköping Municipality
Our F-9 organisation consists of 17 primary schools and 3 adapted primary schools. In each principal's area there is a principal, several assistant principals, and a student support team with various professionals. With schools in rural areas and urban centres, we work to increase equality and integration within and between schools and strengthen the quality of municipal primary education. It is about giving all students - regardless of school - the same opportunities for education and development.
The focus in recent years has been to develop a plan for systematic quality work and a common language development approach for the entire organisation. It is important to us that at both management and operational levels, time is dedicated to working on our shared priorities. For this reason, each school has scheduled time each week for conferences, development work, collaboration projects, and more.
About the Adapted Primary School Principal's Area
In Nyköping Municipality there are three adapted primary schools that together form a shared principal's area:
• Two lower and middle school classes
• One upper secondary school class
Together we create a whole where each student is given the opportunity to develop based on their individual abilities. Our operations are characterised by security, structure, clarity, and a strong student focus. Here, dedicated employees work in close collaboration with student support services, guardians, and external stakeholders.
Do you want to make a real difference for students with intellectual disabilities? The Adapted Primary School area is looking for you – a special education teacher focused on daily teaching work with our students in grades 1-6.

WORK TASKS
As a special education teacher at the adapted primary school, Långsätter, you will plan, implement, and drive instruction forward with our students. You lead daily instruction with support from teaching assistants in the classroom. This also means you have a leading role in the classroom with teaching assistants, working together to create quality pedagogical work. You work systematically and develop your instruction and learning environments, which contributes to raising the quality of instruction for our students. Your role also includes participating in collaborative learning and other pedagogical forums.
Our students study both subjects and subject areas and are at different developmental levels. Students attend smaller classes and are divided into smaller groups during certain lessons. Instruction may need to be individualised, but always with the goal of reaching the entire group through differentiated instruction within the timeframe. The work team includes teachers and other teaching assistants with whom you collaborate closely. The special education teacher in the classroom has the task of coordinating and leading the teaching assistants assigned to the group/class. We strive for a structured and individualised approach where each student develops based on their abilities and strengths.
You are solution-focused and flexible in your work and, together with your colleagues, you seek the best possible ways to reach all students through an inclusive approach.
QUALIFICATIONS
You must be a certified special education teacher and be comfortable with teaching processes and structured in your working approach. You must have knowledge and experience teaching students with intellectual disabilities and other disabilities, as well as good knowledge and familiarity with students with significant care needs.
We place great importance on your ability to create a safe and structured learning environment for students. Flexibility and a solution-oriented approach are important components of the work.
Since the work places great demands on meeting many different students' needs and collaborating with adults with varying expertise, it is necessary that you work well in collaboration and cooperation in different environments and contexts. You must be responsive but also able to make independent decisions. You should be able to work both independently and in a group. You have experience and feel confident handling various types of assistive devices both for learning and physical assistive devices such as Permobil chairs, standing frames, walkers, and other aids that need to be considered in teaching work.
