Special Education Teacher - Mathematics or Literacy Development

Your New Role You will work in a health-promoting, preventive, and intervention-oriented capacity based on the special education teacher's professional mission, and you'll be an important part of the school's student welfare work. Through strong inter-professional collaboration, we create good conditions together for students' development, learning, and well-being. We work with a shared focus on developing accessible learning environments and providing early, coordinated interventions that support students toward educational goals. Your responsibilities include: Conducting instruction in smaller teaching groups based on students' individual needs, prerequisites, and knowledge levels. Participating in running the school's resource center. Planning, implementing, and following up on instruction and adapted support measures in accordance with governing documents and student goals. Creating a clear, structured, and predictable learning environment that promotes safety, participation, and goal achievement. Monitoring and documenting students' academic progress and contributing to assessment and follow-up together with subject teachers. Collaborating with subject teachers and other staff to create a cohesive approach to student learning and development. Providing pedagogical guidance and support to colleagues regarding teaching methods, adaptations, and approaches for students with special needs. Working inter-professionally with student welfare, resource staff, and other professionals within the school to create an effective support structure around the student. Collaborating with guardians and external actors to ensure long-term, coordinated support for the student. Responsible for pedagogical documentation, analysis, and follow-up of students' needs and development. Working according to the established job description for special education teachers and actively contributing to school and student welfare development initiatives. Participating in the municipality's professional network for special education teachers and contributing to collegial learning and professional development. Your Qualifications We are seeking a certified teacher with a special education teacher degree with a focus on mathematics development or literacy and language development. To apply for the position, it is also possible to have begun a special education teacher program with a focus on mathematics development or literacy and language development. Based on your education, you work in accordance with the established job description for the special education teacher profession and participate in the municipality's professional network for special education teachers. You have experience working in primary schools and are confident in adapting instruction and learning environments based on students' individual needs. You have experience teaching students with special needs, both individually and in small teaching groups, and work to create a safe, structured, and accessible learning environment that promotes student development and goal achievement. As a person, you are confident, organized, and flexible with strong collaboration skills. You are relationship-building, communicative, and maintain professional conduct with students, colleagues, and guardians. You take initiative, work independently, and contribute to a positive work environment where the student's best interests are always the focus. It is advantageous if you have experience with NPF (collaborative problem-solving), language development approaches, mathematics development, accessible learning environments, and colleagues mentoring. Considerable weight will be placed on personal suitability.
