Hagaskolan in central Umeå is a grades F–9 school with integrated and adapted hearing services. Employment Information
This position is a permanent, full-time appointment starting as soon as possible by agreement.
Your Responsibilities
We are looking for a special education teacher to work in grades 4–6 with a focus on Swedish. The position includes instruction, planning, monitoring, and documentation of student learning and development. You will also be responsible for coordinating and monitoring students' development and support situation within the framework of USS work. Central to the position is support for students and teachers in grades 4–6. The position also includes collaboration with guardians, student health services, and external partners.
You will work as part of a team with other teachers connected to the operations, and together you will work to create a safe, structured, and accessible learning environment for students. Daily work also includes close collaboration with guardians.
About You
As a person, you are flexible, clear, and well-organized. Based on your profession, you have good knowledge of student development and learning, and can identify and work based on individual needs at the organizational, group, and individual level. You have good collaboration skills, are responsive, and communicate and collaborate easily with students and other professionals important for this target group. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements
Qualified special education teacher with a focus on Swedish
Qualified primary school teacher for grades F–6
Hold or have applied for teacher certification
Experience working as a special education teacher in lower or middle elementary school
Experience organizing specialized pedagogical support from the ground up
Valid excerpt from the criminal record, as required by the Act on Suitability Testing
Fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
