JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a special education teacher in mathematics or a teacher certified for grades 1-6 to strengthen our team. This is a temporary position. Racklöfska School is located in the center of Järpen in Åre Municipality, Jämtland County. The school has approximately 150 students from preschool through grade 6. The school is directly adjacent to beautiful cross-country ski trails, an ice rink, swimming pool, and sports hall. The municipal library is within walking distance of the school. The school's location is ideal for educational activities with proximity to sports, nature, and culture. The schoolyard offers excellent opportunities for activities including street basketball, climbing structures, swings, a small forest area, a sports arena with artificial grass, a sledding hill, a grill area, and a large soccer field. The school is directly adjacent to "Verket" - an activity area with a cycling and skateboard park among other things. Several of our outdoor days are spent on the nearby mountains. The school is organized into three work teams: Grades F-3, Grades 4-6, and after-school care. At Racklöfska School, we work to ensure that everyone feels good, both students and staff. In your role as a mathematics special education teacher, you will work with the team to ensure quality in pedagogical work and participate in development projects with other teachers. Your role includes overall responsibility for students' social and academic development. You take responsibility for systematically documenting, analyzing, evaluating, and monitoring students' learning. Skill in the craft and broad leadership and stimulation will be assets. In your role as a mathematics special education teacher, you will work across all our classrooms based on need. You co-teach or work with individual interventions, all based on the children's and the school's needs. You also work with assessments and mapping based on need. QUALIFICATIONS • We are looking for someone who is a certified special education teacher in mathematics or certified to teach mathematics in grades 1-6 • You have a strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively with students, guardians, colleagues, and school leadership. • We believe you have excellent ability to work both goal-oriented and solution-focused in accordance with applicable regulations and that the child's best interests are always your focus. As a person, you are a good collaborator, feel confident and secure even in challenging situations, and can easily adapt to different types of tasks and situations. You often find win-win solutions through a pragmatic focus on the common goal. You communicate clearly and can easily distinguish between the issue and the person. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. We use clarifying pedagogy, the nine pedagogical questions, and several shared lesson structures at the school to benefit students.
