Description We are seeking a special education teacher for grades 4-6 who wants to be part of developing instruction and strengthening student achievement. Welcome to work with us at Klarebergsskolan! Klarebergsskolan is an F-9 school with approximately 1,070 students in partially renovated facilities. The school is easily accessible by public transportation with buses from Angereds Centrum, Hjalmar Branting, and Central Station. Adjacent to the school are a library, swimming hall, and two sports halls. In the activity park you can both relax and get exercise. The school's shared vision is: "Together we create conditions for our students to succeed" Job Responsibilities We are now seeking a special education teacher tasked with supporting our students and teachers in the school so they can develop to their full potential. As a special education teacher, you will work with students in grades 4-6. The focus is on students in need of accommodations, short-term intensive interventions, and special support. You assist in assessing students and conducting pedagogical evaluations to create a good learning environment that supports all students' development toward educational goals. You identify opportunities and reduce barriers in the school's learning environment, as well as barriers at the organizational, group, and individual levels. Working with inclusion and core values is a natural part of your work. You will collaborate closely with the school's special education coordinator, special education teachers, and teaching staff at the school. We in grades 4-6 are starting our development work this fall where you, together with your colleagues, are expected to contribute experience and expertise to maintain focus on learning and development on our journey toward higher student achievement. Qualifications We are seeking you with teacher certification and training as a special education teacher. It is advantageous if you have mathematics as subject specialization. It is also advantageous if you have experience working as a special education teacher. You have the ability to explain problems and information to different audiences and from different perspectives. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. For you who are newly certified, to get the best possible start in the profession, you will participate in the Gothenburg Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for newly certified teachers. The introduction provides you as a newly certified teacher with a network of other newly certified teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.
