DUTIES We are looking for you who are a trained special education teacher - specializing in reading and writing - and have experience working in your profession in primary school. As a person, you are creative, relational, solution-oriented, confident, and stable. You have excellent skills in meeting students' different needs. You find it easy to collaborate and build good relationships with both children, young people, and adults. In your leadership, you motivate others and create engagement and participation. You are analytical and can, based on what you observe in meetings with the student, teaching, and learning, change, improve, and think creatively in your own work to move forward. You can also provide constructive feedback to colleagues based on what you perceive would be positive changes for the student(s). In other words, you have the ability to take on a mentoring role with resource and teaching colleagues and provide input and suggestions regarding inclusive learning environments and differentiated instruction. In this role, you work with direct student support from preschool class through grade 9 in close collaboration, particularly with the special education coordinator and other student welfare team members, as well as other staff. You will work in different configurations with individual students, with smaller student groups, and together with teachers in full classes based on individual action plans and intervention programs. EMPLOYMENT TERMS Permanent full-time position commencing with a 6-month probationary period starting 2025-08-17 or by agreement. The position setup as either a temporary or holiday replacement can be discussed. Before you are offered employment at Antonskolan, you must provide an extract from the police criminal record register according to the School Act Chapter 2, Section 31.
