Responsibilities
We are seeking an engaged special education teacher for Hermodsdalsskolan who wants to be part of a competent and collaborative team. As a special education teacher with us, you will plan and deliver instruction for students in need of additional support. You will work closely with classroom teachers, special education colleagues, and the assistant principal. An important part of your role is to contribute to developing students' learning environments and supporting teachers in working with students in need of additional support.
You are also responsible for developing, monitoring, and evaluating intervention programs in collaboration with mentors. At Hermodsdalsskolan, you are a key person in strengthening students' academic achievement. You participate in our regular results dialogues, where we collectively analyze students' knowledge development, identify challenges, plan and implement targeted interventions based on student needs. We work from the conviction that all students can and will succeed – and together we create the best conditions for each student's development and learning.
Qualifications
We are looking for you if you are a certified primary school teacher with credentials in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language and hold a special education degree with a focus on language, writing, and reading development. It is a plus if you also have credentials in Swedish as a Second Language and have experience working as a special education teacher at the intermediate level. We appreciate experience teaching full classes and familiarity with language and knowledge development teaching methods.
You have good knowledge of the school's governing documents and the ability to apply them in practice. As an employee, you are self-directed in your role. You demonstrate relational leadership, are flexible, solution-focused, and have strong collaborative skills. You work evidence-based and use digital tools as a natural support in your teaching and documentation.

About the Workplace
Hermodsdalsskolan is a K–9 school with both regular primary school and adapted primary school. The regular primary school has 510 students, and the adapted primary school has 50 students. We focus on close relationships with both students and guardians and tailor instruction to each student through regular results dialogues. Our core belief is that all students can and will succeed. We analyze, monitor, and evaluate each student's development. If something isn't working, we make changes to help the student succeed. This means we operate in constant change, and you need to thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapid adjustments based on each student's needs. We practice student-centered school leadership, which is evident through the management rounds conducted weekly and through student interviews with each grade level. Hermodsdalsskolan's after-school program serves approximately 90 students.
