Within the social care administration, approximately 1,200 engaged employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care services, support for people with disabilities, and social psychiatry, as well as child and family services. About the Workplace: At Gläntan, we offer day activity services for people with a dementia diagnosis in a safe and welcoming environment. Each day we welcome up to 22 guests and work in small groups to meet each person based on their individual needs, abilities, and interests. Through social interaction, activities, and support, we create conditions for a meaningful and fulfilling everyday life. The operation runs Monday through Friday and is directed toward municipality residents who have been granted the service through a support decision. Gläntan is now entering an exciting development phase where we are expanding the operation with an additional group and relocating to new premises, which will give us even better opportunities to continue offering high-quality services with a strong focus on our guests' well-being. 2 position(s). WORK DUTIES As an employee at Gläntan, you will be an important part of planning, implementing, and following up on activities that promote participation, safety, and quality of life both socially and physically. The work is conducted in close collaboration with colleagues, where you collectively are responsible for care services, meals, and documentation according to current guidelines. Cooperation with other professional roles, departments, and external partners is a natural part of the operation to ensure the best possible support and care for our guests. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: • Is a trained specialist nurse with a focus on dementia care • Has at least 4 years of work experience as a nursing assistant • Has previous experience working with people with a dementia diagnosis • Speaks and writes Swedish fluently (at least passing basic Swedish from grade 9 of compulsory school or SFI D) It is advantageous if you have experience working in day activity services and knowledge and experience of working with people with BPSD. Experience from work in regular and special housing is also considered an advantage, as it contributes to a broad understanding of individualized care and professional conduct in various care situations. You are a trustworthy, empathetic, and responsible person with a genuine interest in working with people. You have a professional and respectful approach and the ability to build good relationships with both participants, family members, and colleagues. You are flexible, solution-focused, and can work independently while also thriving in collaboration with others. You are resourceful and creative in planning and implementing activities and have the ability to create a meaningful and safe everyday life for the operation's participants. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and good collaboration skills. Salary form: Monthly salary. Type of employment: Permanent position.
