At Karlslund Care and Residential Facility, we are seeking a specialist nurse who wants to contribute to developing quality in our dementia services while being part of the daily care work. Your Tasks This is a combined role where you work at least 50% in a specialist capacity and the remainder in daily care. As a specialist nurse, you are an important part of the team and work in close collaboration with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists to ensure safe, secure, and person-centered care. In this role, you combine daily care work with a special responsibility for developing the operation by contributing and sharing your specialist expertise with colleagues and the team as a whole. In the specialist role, you will actively work with and be a driving force in the facility's work with the BPSD registry. You provide support, mentoring, and guidance to care staff on issues related to dementia and patient interactions, and contribute to the development and implementation of practices that strengthen the quality of dementia care. You are also a support in contact with family members, promote good collaboration and participation, and serve as a link between the facility and the municipality's dementia team. You participate in team meetings and development work together with other professionals. The specialist role is shaped according to the facility's needs and may vary depending on ongoing development work. An important part of the assignment is to follow up on and evaluate practices and to drive development forward together with the facility. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Based on the facility's needs, you must be able to work these days and times. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone who is trained as a specialist nurse, preferably with a focus on dementia or other relevant specialist training. You have experience working with people with dementia and feel confident in your professional role. You have good knowledge of BPSD and a pedagogical approach. You enjoy mentoring, inspiring, and supporting colleagues in their development and have the ability to communicate your knowledge in a clear and humble manner. We would appreciate experience in mentoring, improvement work, or training initiatives within elderly care. Experience working with people with mental health issues is an advantage for this position. Since documentation and digital systems are an important part of the assignment, you need to be comfortable working in systems and have experience with documentation. You have good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing. As a person, you are engaged, structured, and collaboration-oriented. You take own initiatives, work independently, and have a solution-focused approach. You adapt easily to changed circumstances and have the ability to follow up and drive development work over time.
