We are now seeking a Specialist Nursing Assistant with a focus on dementia care for Borghaga E, a unit for persons with dementia diagnoses.
The work tasks involve facilitating the daily lives of residents, providing them with good care and a meaningful everyday life. Your role as a specialist nursing assistant is to work with person-centered care; through this, we utilize the strengths of each resident and include them in every decision that concerns them. The work tasks also include documenting and performing health and nursing interventions based on delegation from a registered nurse.

WORK TASKS
As a specialist nursing assistant in dementia care, you will have a central role in our elderly care operations. Your work tasks include:
• Guidance and mentoring: Guide colleagues, both individually and in groups, and be a supportive resource in daily work.
• Resident needs and interventions: Observe and assess residents' needs, and contribute to planning and developing evidence-based interventions with a holistic approach to around-the-clock care.
• Support and development: Act as a dementia care developer within qualified methods in dementia care and maintain and implement new working methods.
• Knowledge development: Monitor developments and update knowledge within the dementia field to ensure that our operations remain at the forefront.
• Collaboration and quality work: Lead/participate in network meetings and collaborative forums.
QUALIFICATIONS
We see that you have:
• Education as a nursing assistant with a protected professional title (Healthcare and Care Program or equivalent)
• Diploma from post-secondary education covering at least 200YH or at least 60 credits, with a clear focus on dementia
• Supervisor training (minimum VO-college level 2 or equivalent)
• B driver's license
The position also requires good proficiency in using computers as a work tool and the ability to quickly learn new programs and systems. Excellent Swedish in speech and writing. Experience from similar work is considered meritorious.
We are seeking someone who is empathetic, self-directed, and responsible, with the ability to structure your work and drive development initiatives for the municipality's elderly care. You communicate easily by adapting your approach to different situations and individuals. With your specialist knowledge, you understand the professional aspects of the work and always strive to maintain your knowledge to be a valuable resource for your colleagues.
