Make a difference. Every day. We are seeking specialist-trained nurses with intensive care, anesthesia, or surgical nursing qualifications who are interested in developing postoperative care. Your base placement will be at PPE1; the Pre- and Postoperative Department for Surgery and Orthopedics at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) in Malmö. With us, you work with a preferred shift schedule covering all hours of the day or night only, in an environment where teamwork, learning, and quality permeate everything we do. It is work that offers variety, challenge, and development within the perioperative flow with a focus on postoperative care. We want you to thrive and grow with us. That's why we work according to the Magnet Model, which is built on commitment, participation, and continuous development, including through the competence and service model (KTM). Our pre- and postoperative unit is part of the Department of Intensive and Perioperative Care (VO IPV). We are open 24/7, seven days a week, but are part of an ongoing merger where you may have the opportunity to rotate between several pre- and postoperative units, including reconstructive surgery and gynecological surgery—perfect if you want to broaden your expertise and try something new without changing workplaces. We are looking for someone who is experienced, curious, engaged, and wants to contribute to safe and person-centered care. You enjoy variety, collaboration, and see development as a natural part of your professional life. 2 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES At our unit, we work to provide patients with the best possible care before and especially after surgery. As a nurse in the pre- and postoperative department, you will work with patients of all ages—both adults and children—in many different specialties. Our team values collaboration, respect, and empathy in all interactions, both with patients and their families, and with colleagues. With us, you have the opportunity to: • Work in a competent team with close collaboration between different professions. • Contribute to ensuring high-quality care before and after surgery. • Continue to develop in your professional role through continuous learning and skills development. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a specialist nurse in intensive care, anesthesia, or surgery with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have experience working in somatic care and language skills in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. You are engaged, confident in your professional role, and want to work in a dynamic environment. Furthermore, you collaborate easily and have a good ability to prioritize in acute situations. We assume that you, like us, are driven by the desire and interest to develop postoperative care. Additionally, you are motivated to actively participate in the continuous improvement process we are undergoing. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. An extract from the burden and suspicion register will be requested before any employment.
