We treat patients with oncological and hematological diseases in both inpatient and outpatient care and offer specialized healthcare at home as well as cancer rehabilitation. There is also a radiotherapy department and a clinical research unit at the clinic. We are located primarily at Norrlands University Hospital, but we also work in home settings throughout Västerbotten and as consultants in the northern healthcare region. The oncology section provides highly specialized care. The care ward has 30 beds for general oncology patients and the oncology clinic has 30 employees. We treat patients with various oncological diseases, using both chemotherapy and antibodies. The team consists of coordinators, booking staff, contact nurses, nursing assistants, rehabilitation staff, and specialist and ST physicians. We also have a day care unit where we administer various types of treatment and an assessment unit that handles acute patients who come to us for various procedures before they can return home. DUTIES We are looking for a specialist nurse for the clinic's outpatient care with a mission as a contact nurse. Work as a specialist nurse involves administering various treatments, follow-ups, care of patients undergoing various outpatient examinations, and coordination and planning of times for our patients. The assignment also includes telephone counseling, work in the day care unit, assessment unit, and conducting your own telephone clinics where assessments are made prior to various tablet treatments. Part of the work also includes providing information to patients and relatives and developing care and rehabilitation plans. QUALIFICATIONS Licensed nurse. Specialist education in oncology is a requirement. We want you to have good patient interaction and see collaboration as an important part of care, but you are also comfortable working independently.
