About the Operations
Ludvika Hospital is a district hospital located in southern Dalarna, beautifully situated in Västerbergslagen near Lake Väsman. The hospital has a catchment area of approximately 37,000 residents from Ludvika and Smedjebacken municipalities and employs around 500 staff members. Here you will find a broad range of services, including primary care with mobile teams, urgent care with 24-hour operations, imaging and functional medicine, clinical chemistry, blood center, ambulance services, psychiatry, rehabilitation, palliative care, and several specialist clinics.
Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Rehabilitation in Ludvika is part of Region Dalarna's overall medical operations and works closely with the medical clinics in Falun, Mora, and Avesta. The clinic plays an important role in developing the future of internal medical care and primary care in Dalarna.
The operations consist of a care ward with 34 beds divided between internal medicine and geriatrics/rehabilitation, a medical clinic, and a geriatric outpatient unit. The clinic also includes the hospital's autopsy and morgue operations, secretarial unit, and the hospital's shared reception. In total, around 120 staff members work with us.
What characterizes our operations are the advantages of a smaller hospital with short decision-making processes, close collaboration between professions, and great opportunities to influence the development of operations. Work Responsibilities
As a specialist physician or chief physician, you will participate in all aspects of the clinic's operations, working in both inpatient and outpatient care. You are an important resource in the clinic's on-call line and meet patients with a broad spectrum of internal medicine conditions. The work offers a varied daily routine where you get to use all your expertise in internal medicine.
At the clinic, there is an opportunity to develop and profile services in areas where you have particular interest and expertise, for example, diabetes, cardiac, pulmonary, or elderly care. You also contribute to training and supervision of AT, BT, and ST physicians and actively participate in quality, research, and improvement work.
If you want to combine clinical work with leadership and development issues, there are good opportunities to take an active role in the continued development of operations. Depending on experience, interest, and operational needs, medical leadership responsibility (MLA) may be part of the assignment. There is also an opportunity to participate in the clinic's management group and thereby be involved in strategic decisions, operational management, and development of internal medical care in Region Dalarna.

Qualifications
Requirements:
Swedish certification of specialist competence in internal medicine or double specialist certification, for example with a focus on cardiology or endocrinology
Good knowledge of Swedish, minimum level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale
