Make a difference. Every day. The Eye Care Unit at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) with approximately 230 employees has operations in both Malmö and Lund. The unit is at the forefront of both basic and specialist training for physicians. At the departments of ophthalmology within Lund University, extensive research is conducted. In addition to meeting the eye care needs of residents in Malmö and Lund, we also provide regional healthcare for all of Region Skåne as well as Halland, Kronoberg, and Blekinge. 1 position(s). DUTIES We are now seeking a specialist physician with a focus on plastic surgery and orbit. The position includes outpatient clinics and on-call duty one evening/night or holiday per month. Training of residents and newly qualified specialists is an important part of the role. There are excellent opportunities to conduct research within eye diseases. The placement location for the position is the Eye Care Unit at Sus, where part of the position will be based primarily in Malmö and the other part primarily in Lund. QUALIFICATIONS For this position, you must be a licensed physician with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare and hold specialist competence in ophthalmology. Swedish language skills equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required. You must also have completed or have planned a course in clinical supervision. Experience in plastic surgery and research is advantageous. At a university healthcare unit, physicians are required to have pedagogical experience and training. This can be acquired through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students, physicians in training, and as a co-supervisor or main supervisor of doctoral candidates. Clearly describe in your application any completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience in supervision and teaching at various levels.
