Specialist Physician - Glaucoma Section

Description The Glaucoma Section currently has nine physicians on staff. Our objective is to be a leading center in glaucoma care nationally and internationally. We perform approximately 750 glaucoma surgeries per year and see approximately 6,000 patients annually. We also hold the national assignment for pediatric glaucoma care. Research and development are a natural part of the section's daily work. Job Responsibilities We are seeking someone who is engaged and wants to contribute to the development of the glaucoma field. The position includes teaching and education responsibilities. You will also participate in St. Erik's overall emergency preparedness and on-call services. Qualifications You are a specialist physician in ophthalmology with a particular interest in medical glaucoma. Previous experience with glaucoma and strong pedagogical and research experience are merits. Personal Qualities You have good collaboration skills and can work independently. As a person, you are pedagogical, organized, and adapt to different situations. You are confident in your professional role. We place great importance on personal qualities. Terms of Employment The position is a permanent full-time employment. A six-month probationary period may apply. Start date by agreement.
