We are now seeking an engaged and driven specialist physician for our Rehabilitation Medicine section. The Rehabilitation Medicine section is part of the operational area (VO) Neurology, Rehabilitation Medicine and Memory Diseases at Skåne University Hospital (Sus), with operations in Lund and Höör. Within rehabilitation medicine, we offer interdisciplinary and internationally accredited (CARF) rehabilitation for adults with functional limitations resulting from spinal cord injury, acquired brain injury including stroke, multitrauma, circulatory and musculoskeletal diseases, chronic neurological diseases, and residual conditions after polio. With us, you will work in a stimulating academic environment where the operations conduct multidisciplinary research linked to several research groups within spinal cord injury, anoxic brain injury, stroke, and residual conditions after polio. Many of our staff members hold doctorates or are active doctoral candidates. We also have well-established collaboration with other rehabilitation medicine operations in the Southern Healthcare Region, and several of our staff members are engaged in knowledge governance at national, regional, and local levels. The Rehabilitation Medicine unit is a university healthcare unit (USVE) with close collaboration with Lund University and Malmö University. We receive students in many different professions during basic and further education. The Rehabilitation Medicine unit has responsibilities at different rehabilitation care levels. In addition to responsibility for specialized rehabilitation medicine within Sus' catchment area, we serve as a university unit within the Southern Healthcare Region for rehabilitation of people with acquired brain injury. At the national level, we have assignments for nationally highly specialized care (NHV). As one of four centers in the country, we conduct NHV for spinal cord injury rehabilitation (primary rehabilitation in inpatient care) and as one of three centers in the country, we conduct NHV for residual conditions after polio (outpatient rehabilitation). 1 position(s). WORK TASKS We are seeking a physician with specialist competence in rehabilitation medicine in the first instance or with another relevant specialty, who wishes to be involved in developing our operations in a stimulating and highly specialized environment at a leading university hospital. As a physician with us, you work from a patient-centered approach, which is a cornerstone of rehabilitation medicine. Together with the patient, relatives, and the rehabilitation team, an individual rehabilitation plan is developed and conducted through interdisciplinary teamwork. You lead the medical work, diagnostics, and rehabilitation medicine assessments for patients in both inpatient and outpatient care. The work also includes individual physician assessments of particularly complex conditions and consultation services. You supervise and train resident physicians, assistant physicians, and medical students at the faculty of medicine and other professionals, as well as internal training. As part of a university hospital, you are encouraged to participate in and drive clinical development and research projects as well as current individual areas of responsibility. You will be part of the rehabilitation medicine on-call service for our inpatients. The Rehabilitation Medicine section is located at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) in Lund and Höör (Orupssjukhuset). Your placement will primarily be in Höör, but may shift between our operations in both Höör and Lund over time. There will also be travel on duty as we have consultation services throughout Region Skåne. QUALIFICATIONS You who are applying are a licensed physician authorized to practice in Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you have specialist competence in rehabilitation medicine or another relevant specialty. Language proficiency in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. You must have completed or have planned a course in clinical supervision. You have strong communication skills, are well familiar with interdisciplinary teamwork, and are driven by developing tomorrow's rehabilitation medicine. Research experience or a doctoral degree is highly meritious, as is documented experience in clinical supervision.
