As a specialist physician in child and adolescent psychiatry at our clinic in Farsta, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in young patients' lives while developing your professional skills. BUP Farsta is an outpatient clinic in Farsta for children and adolescents aged 7-17 years. The clinic is staffed by psychologists, social workers, physicians, nurses, and administrators with specialized child and adolescent psychiatric expertise. We work interprofessionally, in close collaboration with guardians and, when needed, with schools, social services, and other care partners. Our work is guided by BUP Stockholm's process maps to support assessment, investigation, and treatment. BUP Farsta handles the core assignment of specialized child and adolescent psychiatric outpatient care and offers FBT for eating disorders as a subspecialized intervention. Experience in eating disorder care, family-based work, parent-directed interventions, and group-based support interventions is therefore particularly relevant for this position. Job Description As a specialist physician, you play a central role in contributing medical expertise to daily child psychiatric work. You are responsible for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, including medical interventions and neuropsychiatric investigations. The role includes actively contributing to the development and improvement of the clinic's routines and methods, with the goal of ensuring patient-safe care of high quality. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a specialist physician with specialization in child and adolescent psychiatry or psychiatry, approved to work in Sweden. You must have the competence to investigate, assess, and be responsible for patients' medical treatment. You have solid knowledge in diagnostics and pharmacological treatment. Experience in supervision is a merit, as the role includes supervising ST physicians. About Us Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Stockholm (BUP) offers specialized psychiatric care for children and young people under 18 years of age in Stockholm County. We are part of Stockholm County Healthcare Area, a care provider within Region Stockholm. Together, BUP employs over 1,200 staff who meet over 22,000 children, young people, and their families each year. The position is filled on the condition that it does not need to be used for internal redeployment, according to applicable regulations.
