A pleasant clinic in Eskilstuna with excellent development opportunities is seeking a specialist physician in pulmonology or allergology who can work broadly – if you have specific areas of interest within pulmonology, these can be accommodated! Your responsibilities: As a physician with us, you will work in both outpatient and inpatient care. Work in outpatient care includes, for example, conducting clinic visits, participating in team rounds within oxygen/ventilator care and within cancer care. Other common duties include performing pulmonary procedures, such as bronchoscopy, EBUS, and chest tube drainage. Furthermore, work in inpatient care focuses on care related to hospitalized lung patients. In addition to this, there is ongoing development work within the pulmonology field. Since the clinic has a regional mandate, it requires high availability for consultation with physician colleagues throughout the county. Your qualifications: Specialist physician/senior physician with Swedish medical license and specialist certification in pulmonology. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required. You are a person who is confident and stable with good communication skills. You are a person accustomed to taking independent responsibility and have an easy time collaborating with others. Cultural awareness. Structured and proactive. About the clinic: To function as a physician at the clinic, continuous collaboration with other staff is necessary – administrator, medical secretaries, nursing assistants, and nurses in both outpatient and inpatient care. Physicians and nursing staff work together during certain patient visits and collaborate on clinic-wide issues/improvement work. Currently, physicians in pulmonology have no on-call or standby duties. However, there is a plan to introduce on-call services in the future. The Infectious Diseases and Pulmonology Clinic is a regional clinic with approximately 120 employees. We have operations within infectious diseases, pulmonology, and specialized adult allergology. The Pulmonology Section is responsible for specialized lung and allergy care for adults throughout the region. The section conducts extensive outpatient care at its own clinic. The clinic is well-developed and staffed with both nurses specialized in allergology, oxygen, and ventilator care, as well as contact nurses for the lung cancer process. Currently, no on-call duties on evenings and nights are included in the position, although some weekend duty may occur.
