The Gastroenterology Unit, with outpatient and endoscopy services, is part of the Department of Internal Medicine. We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), liver disease, celiac disease, and functional gastrointestinal disorders. We perform endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy, gastroscopy, and capsule endoscopy. We also serve as referral centers for IBD, large polyps, and premalignant changes in the anal canal, and we perform ESD and EFTR. We maintain a high level of expertise and modern, up-to-date endoscopic equipment. The unit conducts cutting-edge research in diagnostics, therapy, and patient care. For example, we are developing new methods to prevent colorectal cancer through advanced endoscopy and innovative technology – with the goal of detecting and treating cell changes at an early stage. About the Role As a specialist physician with us, you will see patients requiring specialist gastroenterology expertise at both initial and follow-up visits. You will work with a broad spectrum of gastroenterological conditions, where the most common diagnoses are inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and functional gastrointestinal disorders. Your work will also include endoscopic procedures, with excellent opportunities for continued professional development. Your Experience We are looking for you who: are a licensed physician with specialist competence in gastroenterology and hepatology. have broad gastroenterological experience. can independently perform endoscopic procedures. It is meritorious if you have experience taking on greater medical responsibility or held a leadership role previously. Experience with and interest in research and education are also meritorious.
