Primary Care Center Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, Finspång Health Center, Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and on-call centers for evenings and weekends, and a General Medicine Training Center. We conduct broad primary care operations where we provide care for all throughout life; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, elderly, and patients at the end of life.

Finspång Health Center has approximately 20,800 registered patients in a mixed population and about 100 permanent employees. In addition to basic health center operations, the activities also include an on-call center, a smaller clinic assignment, and a branch in Rejmyre. The health center is in a development phase where staffing is being strengthened and operations development is underway in many areas.
Since 2025, the health centers in Skärblacka and Finspång are one combined unit. The operations have just over 130 employees in total and currently collaborate at both management and employee levels.

Job Description
As a physician with us, you have your own patient list. We prioritize our physician meetings for development, renewal, and medical issues, which are also important aspects of the social side of the physician group. For us, it is of utmost importance to have a reasonable work environment, clear division of responsibility, and flexibility regarding schedules.
The position includes clinical practice with patient consultations where you as a physician have both acute and scheduled patient appointments. It is also common for our specialist physicians to have an additional area of responsibility, for example child health care, elderly care, or home care. Evening and weekend on-call work is part of the position; for some time, the standby duty/night on-call assignment has been owned by another unit within the Health Center, so currently no night shifts are performed within the primary care assignment.
It also includes mentoring students and training physicians; the health center currently has eight specialist training physicians with us. Development time is allocated within the assignment for this.

About You
We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence primarily in general practice. We are also interested in geriatrics or other specialist competence that is deemed appropriate for our operations. For us, it is important that you have broad general knowledge regardless of specialty. You have Swedish physician licensure (attached to application) and Swedish language skills equivalent to Swedish C1 level.
At the health center we have a high ceiling and good collegial collaboration. There is great diversity in the background and experience of our physicians, and we believe that you who apply for the position are a stable person and confident in your professional role. You remain motivated and maintain a positive outlook despite a high work pace. You see collaboration as a given and contributing to a good atmosphere among your colleagues on the department. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability for the position.
