Primary care in Region Jämtland Härjedalen is organizationally part of the Division of Nearby Care together with the Ambulance Service, Public Dental Care, Psychiatry, and Child and Youth Psychiatry.
Primary care is organized into 4 primary care areas, and since January 2022, primary care and ambulance services have been integrated under good and nearby care. Each primary care area is an economic unit led by a unit manager. Primary care is also responsible for the region's healthcare advice, youth clinic, and the primary care unit Näva, all of which are grant-financed.
The health center with approximately 5,000 registered patients has fresh and appropriate facilities. Here we offer both acute and scheduled visits. Adjacent to the health center is the Primary Care Unit (Näva), which we operate together with the municipality. We at the health center continuously work to provide our patients with the best care, and the patient's wellbeing is our focus.

DUTIES
For this unique position, we are looking for you who is a specialist in general medicine, where experience from work in home care services and residential care facilities is a merit.
The Primary Care Unit, Näva, in Strömsund is located adjacent to Strömsund Health Center. Näva is a care unit in a rural area with patients in both inpatient care and municipal short-term care, which gives you a good perspective of the entire care chain. Here, nurses and nursing assistants work together around the clock, and there are also rehabilitation staff, physicians, unit managers, cleaners, and custodians. Näva has a small work team that works closely together at a significantly slower pace compared to typical inpatient care.
At Näva, we care for patients where the majority are elderly and often have multiple conditions with varying needs for nursing care and medical interventions. We care for patients in all specialties except pediatrics. Common diagnoses include, for example, heart failure, cancer, various types of fractures, and infectious conditions.
In both forms of care, people with palliative care needs in various phases are cared for. Palliative care is Näva's specialty, with collaboration with the Palliative Care Unit in Östersund and Storsjögläntan.
Duties at Näva

The position comprises approximately 40% work at Näva, where there are great opportunities for developing the operation. For example, continued development of Good & Nearby Care, digitalization, and more, medical management responsibility, etc. We are open and flexible about testing and implementing new working methods.
The remaining 60% of the position is at Strömsund Health Center. Here there is an opportunity to customize a position with tasks that suit you. This could, for example, be 20% child health, 10% maternal health, 20-60% work as responsible physician for residential care facilities, regular health center clinic work with your own patient list, example: if you work 60% in clinic, it corresponds to 660 patients. Remote work is possible.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you with specialist competence in general medicine with Swedish medical license and good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written. You have Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale.
You enjoy working in a team with other professions, close to patients, and you want to contribute to the development of the operation.
As a person, we see that you are positive, humble, have good initiative, and prefer to work with a solution-oriented approach. We also appreciate that you have a structured, flexible working style and are open to changes within the operational area. Furthermore, you appreciate and understand the value of collaboration, but also take responsibility and work independently when required.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. For this position, a category B driver's license is a requirement.

Primary care is a healthcare unit within the Region's Health and Medical Care Administration where higher education for medical degrees and research are conducted. This means that all applicants undergo expert review by the R&D manager prior to possible employment. Due to this, the application must contain the following documents:

- Certificate of medical degree from the institution(s) where you completed your basic medical education. This also applies to physicians trained in other EU countries and countries outside the EU.
- Medical license certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
- Specialist competence certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare.

Verification of medical license and specialist certificates will be done via IVO and HOSP.
