Primary care within Region Jämtland Härjedalen is organized in 4 local care areas and since January 2022, primary care and ambulance services have been integrated under good and accessible care. Each local care area is an economic unit led by a director of operations. Primary care is also responsible for the region's healthcare advice line, youth clinic and the local care ward Näva, all of which are publicly funded. Frösö Health Center is a pleasant and well-functioning workplace with approximately 60 employees and 12,500 registered patients, located close to nature on Frösön. Here, a broad team of different professionals works together with committed unit managers to provide person-centered care. We have a strong team spirit with both broad and specialist expertise and work in teams with a focus on Accessible care. The operations also include a family center and psychosocial clinic. JOB DUTIES Work with us as a specialist in general medicine involves typical clinic work, home visits, and digital consultations when needed. In a full-time position, as a district doctor you are responsible for an area with 1,250 registered patients. There are also opportunities for side assignments within SÄBO, BVC, MVC, and supervision of trainee doctors. In terms of scheduling, you are scheduled as an on-call doctor without booked patients approximately one to two half-days per week to answer questions from all professions, and this enables more uninterrupted clinic work at other times. You have the opportunity to adjust your daily schedule according to your own preferences regarding, among other things, administrative time with the possibility of remote work in consultation with your immediate supervisor. We have doctor meetings one to two hours per week, and regular training in the form of training days five days per year. These days help create a strong general medicine community in the region. In addition, you are offered a place in an FQ group for training and group reflection five days per year. Occasional on-call shifts are part of the work. The Primary Care area has status as a university healthcare unit, which means teaching, supervision and training of medical students at Umeå University is part of the position. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a specialist in general medicine or nearing the end of your specialty training in general medicine. Experience from the profession as well as your own research and research supervision are meritious but not a formal requirement for the position. Great weight is placed on personal suitability.
