Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is a regional clinic with outpatient units in Umeå, Lycksele, and Skellefteå. The regional clinic also includes a BUP inpatient ward located in Umeå. WORK DUTIES As a specialist physician with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure. With us, you will work with the care and treatment of children and adolescents requiring specialized child psychiatric treatment. Key clinical areas include eating disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, psychosis, and gender dysphoria. The work involves both independent work with patients and their families as well as collaboration with other professionals in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. We work to some extent in subspecialist teams, and you will have the opportunity to develop expertise and actively build your specialized team in close collaboration with Umeå University and in cooperation with the management group. On-call duties during daytime, evening, and night shifts are part of the role, as is supervision of junior residents, clinical trainees, and medical students. Your work also includes, in addition to direct clinical patient care, contributing to the implementation of evidence-based methods and improving operational processes such as assessments, interventions, and treatments. You may also educate colleagues or serve as an external expert to various collaboration partners. In the role, you also create and maintain networks and working groups with colleagues and various collaboration partners such as schools, social services, and other clinics within healthcare. As we are a regional clinic, travel and work at all three locations may occur. QUALIFICATIONS You have a Swedish medical license with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare and a specialist certificate in child and adolescent psychiatry no later than upon taking office. You have strong knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1. You value interdisciplinary work, collaboration, commitment, stability, and collegial support.
