Do you want to work with children and adolescents with complex psychiatric problems in an engaged and experienced team? Then BUP Intermediate Care might be the right workplace for you. BUP Intermediate Care Northeast is a unit within BUP's section for Intensive Outpatient Care that works with children and adolescents and their families who need more intensive support within specialized child psychiatry. The clinic is located at Vendevägen 90 in Danderyd. The target group is children and adolescents with child psychiatric problems aged 0-17 years, often with comorbidity and low functional level. Our interventions are adapted based on the patient's and family's needs, and we meet patients both at home, in their local environment, and at the clinic. We use FACT (Flexible Assertive Community Treatment), a model for treatment and support for complex conditions and life circumstances where collaboration is crucial. At the unit, approximately twenty qualified employees work – physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, therapists, and administrative staff. We offer a broad range of assessment and treatment services based on different theoretical perspectives. The team is characterized by commitment, collaboration, and high competence. We value a good work environment and an open climate. We are now seeking a new specialist physician as one of our colleagues is scaling back before retirement. With us, you will be one of two specialist physicians at the clinic and will have an important role in the team's medical work with patients with complex problems. Job Description The specialist physician's main responsibilities are assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as periods of supervision of physicians. The team has overall responsibility for patient care, both planned and acute interventions. A large part of the work also involves developing our services at the unit and collaboration between units within the Intensive Outpatient Care section regarding difficult-to-treat patients. This includes providing consultative support to physicians at other clinics. As a specialist physician within BUP Stockholm, you will participate in the on-call rotation as needed. Qualifications Specialist physician in child and adolescent psychiatry (or related specialty) and approved to practice in Sweden Demonstrated interest in complex psychiatric problems and work with patients and families in crisis Comfortable with collaboration and teamwork Flexible and appreciate work outside the clinic as well Experience with neuropsychiatric issues Personal Qualities We place great emphasis on you having a structured work approach while also being flexible when circumstances change. About Us Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Stockholm (BUP) provides specialized psychiatric care for children and adolescents under 18 years of age in Stockholm County. We are part of Stockholm County Healthcare Services, a healthcare provider within Region Stockholm.
