Make a difference. Every day. Vårdcentralen (VC) Sorgenfri is centrally located in Malmö and is a primary care center with stable staffing and a good team spirit. We work for better health and quality of life for our patients in a multicultural area through good accessibility and high competence. The primary care center is an Academic Primary Care Center (AVC), which means that the center has a research mandate and serves as a bridge between clinical work and research. Eight specialists in general medicine and six residents work with us, supported by our administrative team. We have nursing assistants, general nurses, specialist nurses, and district nurses who run their own specialist clinics in areas such as diabetes, asthma/COPD, and geriatric care. There is a well-functioning psychosocial unit with practicing psychologists, a curator, and we have a dietitian attached to the primary care center. We have a well-functioning collaboration with Abels Rehab at Möllevångstorget, through which we have access to an occupational therapist and physical therapist, where the physical therapist works two half-days per week on-site at VC Sorgenfri. DUTIES We now have the opportunity to welcome a specialist physician in general medicine to our team! The duties include both acute and planned clinic work, service at residential care facilities (SÄBO), supervision of residents, and consultation services to training physicians, nurses, and other professional categories. Extensive collaboration takes place with municipal home care services, which includes planned and acute home visits. Continuing education is important at the unit, and as a specialist in general medicine, you will participate in teaching at the primary care center. QUALIFICATIONS We are now looking for a licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine and authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language proficiency at a minimum of C1 level according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. As a person, you are confident, responsible, and thorough in your professional role.
