Primary Care Department Uppsala Our 1,800 employees work with primary care and health services in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary healthcare. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within rehabilitation services, and we provide advice by phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our services based on residents' needs. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services. Specialist Physician for the Primary Care Unit in Uppsala Would you like to become our new colleague and work at the Primary Care Department in Uppsala? The unit is located at Kronparksgården in Ulleråker. Start date is by agreement, and the employment rate can be discussed between 50-100%. You will be one of 8 physicians at the Primary Care Departments in the region. Your Assignment You will work in close collaboration with all professions at the Primary Care Department. We work to provide excellent care for the county's residents and maintain close cooperation with other care services to improve patient flow and continuity for our residents. Your work tasks will traditionally consist of department work at the Primary Care Department. We are looking for someone who wants to help develop our work methods and positively influence the operations. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone with specialist competence in general medicine, internal medicine, or geriatrics and Swedish medical licensure. You see both the challenge and the joy in following your patients through all stages of life, and you recognize good patient interaction as one of your most important tools in patient encounters. It is important that you are a good communicator in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You easily establish contact with both patients and colleagues. You have good collaboration skills, appreciate teamwork, and have a willingness to develop the operations together with other department staff. As a person, you are good at planning, organizing, and prioritizing work efficiently. To be successful in this role, you must be flexible in your work approach and accustomed to taking your own initiative and responsibility. Our Operations The Primary Care Department in Uppsala is located at Kronparksgården in Ulleråker and has 30 care beds. We care for patients who do not require investigation but need inpatient care. Patients are admitted via Mobile Primary Care Teams, health centers, or Academic Hospital. Collaboration with primary care physicians exists and will increase as they expand their operations. Average length of stay is approximately 10 care days. Want to Know More?
