Provides technical support for the company's operations in the field of SCADA systems, automation technologies, PLC control and telemetry. Responsible for the development and management of control and monitoring systems used to manage water utility infrastructure. When necessary, assumes the role of backup dispatcher and ensures operational management of events and fault records in 24/7 mode.
Key activities:
- management, configuration and development of the company's SCADA systems
- management and parameterization of PLC, telemetry, RTU and remote measurement points
- support to the dispatch center in resolving higher-level operational events
- communication with software/hardware automation vendors
- preparation of technical documentation, proposals and modifications to control logic
- collaboration with operations departments when commissioning new technologies and equipment
- support for the implementation of modern technologies (IoT, predictive maintenance, digital twin)
- maintenance of technical documentation related to automation
- in representation: performance of dispatcher activities (during illness, vacation or during extraordinary events in accordance with the escalation plan)
Responsibilities:
- proper functioning of SCADA, telemetry and PLC systems
- resolution of SCADA incidents within defined SLAs
- technical support to the dispatch center during escalated events
- maintenance of the operational capability of automation infrastructure
- participation in implementations and modernization projects
Required skills:
- knowledge of automation technologies (PLC)
- knowledge of SCADA environment
- knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC-UA, Profibus, M-Bus, TCP/IP)
- experience in configuring telemetry, sensors, measurement points and remote I/O systems
- ability to read and create electrical documentation
- experience with FAT/SAT testing
- advantageous experience from water utility operations / energy / process manufacturing
- basic knowledge of cybersecurity of industrial systems (NIS2, segmentation, access rights)
- knowledge of working with technical standards, software versioning, configuration archiving
- user knowledge of GIS (ideally ArcGIS) and ability to navigate dispatch systems
- driving license category B.

- ability for independent technical decision-making and analytical thinking
- careful attention to documentation and version control
- ability to assume the role of dispatcher operator when needed
- ability to work under pressure during crisis / emergency situations
- communication skills
- collaboration across operations (dispatch / electrical / water utilities / IT)
Substitution:
- represents the dispatcher in case of absence (illness, vacation, crisis event), the dispatcher performs work in 12-hour shift mode in day or night shifts.
