Job Description Our customers operate across multiple industries, such as renewable energy, forestry, pharmaceuticals, steel, and chemical manufacturing. You will work on a mix of short and long-term assignments. Additionally, you will have multiple points of contact both internally and externally, as well as nationally and internationally. Safety at AFRY comprises a national team of approximately 150 specialists with extensive experience across multiple areas of risk management. To meet the increasing demand for our services, we are seeking someone who wants to work with process safety. As a process safety expert, you will create safe facilities for our customers. You will work with one or more of the following service areas: Leading risk analyses, such as HAZOP, HAZID, SIL analyses, etc. Implementing risk-related permit applications, such as Seveso, environmental regulations, LBE, LSO, etc. Serving as HSE lead in design projects that AFRY manages Calculating consequences in the form of fire, explosion, and toxic releases Working with ATEX classification In your role as a risk consultant with us, travel within and outside Sweden may occur, as our operational area is international. We are currently seeking employees primarily at AFRY's offices in Gothenburg, Karlstad, Stockholm, Malmö, Luleå, Skellefteå, Umeå, Örnsköldsvik, Västerås, Gävle, and Sundsvall. Other locations can also be discussed. Qualifications We are seeking someone with previous experience working with process safety – that is, with one or more of the service areas mentioned above – either in a consulting role or at a facility. You enjoy working with technology, are systematic, like working with complex problems, and are a team player. We appreciate it if you have an academic degree as a civil engineer or have acquired equivalent knowledge. In your role as a consultant, you need to build personal networks both with customer companies and internally at AFRY. If you already have an established network, we see that as a major advantage. Furthermore, you are skilled at maintaining and managing your existing relationships and are motivated by finding new business opportunities. You also need the ability to manage a budget and deliver within tight deadlines, as well as plan and organize your own work. If you also enjoy being a project manager and guiding your colleagues, we view that as a plus. On the other hand, if you prefer to specialize and develop expertise within a specific area, that is also a quality we value positively. Working with safety requires high standards in communication skills. Therefore, you must have fluent Swedish language skills and be well-versed in English, both spoken and written. We value personal integrity, thoroughness, and a genuine interest in your work. Within Safety, we work with risk management, fire safety, occupational health and safety, machine safety, as well as civil protection and emergency preparedness. Risk management includes, in addition to process safety, risk considerations in physical planning, HSE coordination, climate risk analyses, etc. If you have experience beyond process safety that is part of our service portfolio, that is a merit.
