Piteå Health Center has approximately 10,100 registered patients and is one of Region Norrbotten's largest health centers. Today our medical team consists of several specialists in general medicine as well as four ST, BT, and AT physicians. We are now seeking additional specialists who want to help us continue developing a stable and long-term sustainable physician staffing. The goal is to create good continuity for patients while continuing to strengthen the work environment for the medical team. About the Medical Team For several years we have been working to build a stable medical team and today we have a good foundation to build on. With eight specialists and four physicians in training, there are good opportunities for collegial support, medical discussions, and supervision. We now want to strengthen the team further in order to: Increase continuity for our patients Create even better conditions for permanent physicians Provide opportunities for development work and supervision Continue building a sustainable work environment for the medical team We are therefore seeking you who want to be involved in influencing how the operations develop. What We Are Looking For We are seeking you as a licensed physician with a specialist certificate in general medicine. You have very good ability to express yourself in Swedish both orally and in writing, corresponding to at least level C1. The position also requires good computer skills and a valid class B driver's license. It is advantageous if you have experience working in primary care and with the Cosmic medical records system. We would also like to see if you have experience supervising students as well as AT, BT, or ST physicians. Dual specialist competence is advantageous, as are other experiences and competencies that the employer deems relevant for the position. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You have good holistic perspective, are structured in your work approach, and have well-developed teamwork abilities. You contribute to a good work environment and work solution-oriented with the operations and patient's best interests in focus. What You Will Be Working With As a specialist in general medicine, you will work with: Scheduled and acute patient visits Medical assessments and investigations Following up patients with chronic illnesses Rounds at retirement homes and special care facilities Supervision of ST, BT, and AT physicians Collaboration with other professions at the health center Participation in development and improvement work We work in three interdisciplinary teams where physicians, nurses, district nurses, nursing assistants, rehabilitation personnel, and psychosocial staff together care for their patients. The teams work closely together through regular team rounds where patient matters are planned and followed up jointly.
